Rain City Jacks has suspended operations temporarily. Our next scheduled event is Tuesday, October 4, 2022 (date subject to change).
We take this action in recognition of the heightened threat of monkeypox infection in our community, and the current scarcity of widespread medical treatment and prevention. Over the coming months, as effective vaccines for poxvirus become available, our members will be increasingly able to attend RCJ events without risk of infection.
- All active memberships are extended 63 days.
- New member enrollment suspended until October 1.
- Seek out vассіnation now and keep trying until you succeed!
There aren’t yet enough vaccines available in the US to protect the highest-risk people, but they’re coming! We encourage you in the strongest possible terms to act now to secure a vассіnation as soon as it is available to you.
Your first move may be to talk to your dосtоr. You can also get good information from your local public health department. In King County Washington where RCJ operates, call (206) 744-3590 to find a vaccine аpроintment. Again, keep trying!
Stay Tuned
Rain City Jacks leadership is actively engaged in navigating through this challenge and will update our members and friends as the situation develops. There are still a lot of details for us to work out and we will update you soon. We appreciate your support and patience as we navigate yet another curve ball from Mother Nature.
